I'm so excitedddddd for the many good things that will be coming up this month (I know it almost end of February, but still).
First of all is my special project for Esquire Anniversary Edition that I happened to shoot my muse Fitria Yusuf, Nicoline Patricia and Imelda Therinne (warning: one of them is barely naked so you guys better mark your calendar to get Esquire this month :)
Second, my first cover for big men's magazine (I couldn't tell you the magazine, I'm afraid it will jinx!).
Third, my photo spread for Her World magazine that looks a bit artsy, at least for me ;b
Forth, the photography seminar at Grand Indonesia (it will be my second workshop but definitely my first open public speaking).
Fifth, of course the Harper's Bazaar Exhibition in less than 48hours.
Sixth, my 2 photo shoots for editorial before I'm leaving for my photo trip.
Yepeeeee!!!

Lost in Love - Harper's Bazaar Wedding Ideas

Las Vegas summer 2008 at 103 Fahrenheit (around 40 C). There were 2 models, 1 makeup artist, 1 fashion editor, 1 photographer, 1 assistant, 1 vintage car and 15 outfits that we brought all the way from Indonesia to shoot for a single day. The main concept story for this shoot is retro American classic yet me and Dien Tirtobuwono as the fashion editor of Harper's Bazaar didn't want the photo spread look too serious, so we asked the models to play around and I just captured the moment. We also rent the vintage Cadillac 1959 for this shoot and it's look awesome. I had to drive the car myself to the location without the car roof under the sun heat at 3pm. Go figure! During the shoot I drank a bottle of water every 15 minute and still it didn't make me go to the rest room after a day, well probably the water inside my body just dried up instantly. But poor Dien she got sun burn on her head after a long day. At nights we paid all those hard work and try everything the sin city has to offer, from fancy dinners, casinos, Cirque's Du Soleil shows and eyes retreat :D

Bazaar Wedding Exhibition

In the past few days I haven't been slept that much due to Harper's Bazaar Wedding Exhibition preparation, the event will be held on 21-22 February in Four Seasons Hotel, Jakarta. When I have exhibition coming up, there's always crazy week lead up to that. And this time it doesn't change either. So for you guys who will getting hitched or have friends, relatives looking for wedding vendors, this exhibition will fulfill your needs from a to z. Photo Shoot for Astro TV

I'm so dead in front of the camera and it's no coincidence that I have to work behind one. It makes me super groggy all the time just like fish out of the water.
For Astro TV behind the scene photo shoot, I decided to take pictures of my dear friends once again, Hendry & Fanny whom I also took their pre wedding photo last year in Shanghai. Before the shoot, we already discussed the concept with the stylist Thornandes James and makeup artist Adrian Suryapradipa. Fanny showed us the beautiful dresses that she intend to use for this project and told us that she like the Annie Leibovitz' Sex and The City photo spread in Vogue last year. From that idea we took the essence of the Vogue photo spread that even the makeup & hair of Sarah Jessica Parker in that shoot is messy and not very 'clean' but still looks glamorous and polished. In the end I'm very pleased with the result and would like to thank you to the team that helped me for this project, James, Adrian, Chekka, Indra from Astro TV and the cheerleaders Dien Tirtobuwono & Dewi Utari. Really appreciate it guys!

Art Issue

I was like a kid in a candy store, shooting for art issue of Her World magazine in IKJ (Institut Kesenian Jakarta) overwhelmed me. I've been looking for a location like this for some time. A very rough studio with paintings, sculptures, and other art pieces scattered all around the place. What a perfect mess! The shoot itself was very laidback and done in under 3 hours for the whole fashion story. Love the model, love the makeup, love the outfit. Couldn't ask for more..

Le Mariage

Today I shot a cover story for wedding magazine called Le Mariage with Kicky Alexander and Stella Rissa as the stylist. Le Mariage used to be free magazine that you could grab anywhere around the city and start from March they will be going to be sold with a price tag and trust me it's worth it. With all details information about wedding and the latest dresses from well-known wedding designers you won't regret it.

February 2009

This month lead with a packed first week is quite a busy month for me. I have photo shoots, tv shoot for Astro Awani, exhibition (with Harper's Bazaar Wedding at Four Seasons Hotel on Feb 21-22) and ended with a photo trip. I'm so excited and up for it all. Bring it on February!

First one

After a soul searching and deep chat with my friends under a heavy rain in a small cafe, I decided to make my own blog and tell about my own opinion, view and life about everything (well, maybe not everything everything). First of all, telling you the truth that I'm not good at writing and as the reason of that, more often I'll just upload pictures and I'm sure they will tell you more than I could. I'll try to blog as often as time would allow me and hope that you keep looking to this one :)
